Who We Are
The Eula and David Wintermann Library is located at 101 N. Walnut in Eagle Lake, Texas. The Wintermann Library provides free services to all residents as well as citizens in the surrounding areas. The library holds over 23,574 materials including books, video tapes, DVDs, magazines, newspapers and books on cassette and CDs. There is also a Texas Collection and Spanish section consisting of books, video tapes and DVDs. The library also offers 50 databases available through the TexShare program.
A variety of services is available to the community including copy services for 20 cents per page and fax services for $2.00 per page.
In total, over 17,000 items were checked out of the library during fiscal year 2008-2009! In addition to these items, thousands of people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s broadband connection, participate in computer and Internet training, view a Library exhibit, or attend one of the Library’s many events. The Library also offers a reading program for preschool children during the school year and the Summer Reading Program during the summer months.

Our Mission
The Eula and David Wintermann Library aims to provide a lifetime of recreational and educational resources for all ages and racial groups. The library will also strive to achieve the highest possible level of service, while stressing convenience, speed of access, quality of informational resources, and maximum cost effectiveness in planning its daily public services to the Eagle Lake area.
